Silicone barbecue / Pastry Brush is one of the wonder products of the 21st century.

It can withstand temperatures of up to 300C (572F), which is amazingly twice the temperature that oil fries at. But it's also incredibly flexible and the bristles are gentle enough to glaze pastry.

The silicone bristles are also non stick and after use can be washed in a dishwasher.
